Skipwith would like to wish Matthew Thomas, our very own England U16 Rugby player, all the very best with his tour to Italy this coming weekend. This has been publicised by Shiplake but Matthew's agent has allowed us exclusive use of this photograph!

The Ballroom Ball!
Skipwith's Ballroom representatives George Howarth and Christopher Troup dressed to impress on Saturday night. The evening concluded this season of Y12 Ballroom Dancing at Queen Anne's. The boys have attended fortnightly sessions to practise their steps and I am delighted that they had the 'get up and go' to try something different instead of staying in to do their prep on a Friday night! I hope even more of this year's Y11 will take the plunge next year.
Chris said that he was scared at first but it has been a great experience, really enjoyable and a chance to meet new people/ladies!

The Senior House Hockey Tournament started (and unfortunately finished) for Skipwith today when they played Welsh in the Preliminary round. An often used sporting cliche but the score line of 5-1 did not reflect the balance of play. Birthday boy Alex Campbell scored our goal, set up by Joshua Lewis (or so he just told me!). Captain Rob Skinner marshalled the side well, who should all be proud of their performance (this does not mean that we would not prefer to win though!) Ian Brown made some fine saves in goal and Charlie Moffatt again showed that he is not just a badminton player.
The squad were Rob Skinner, Ian brown, Joshua Lewis, Ed Sykes, Alex Campbell, Charlie Moffatt, James Dempster, Harrison Lewis, John Hawes, Michael Syropoulo, Matt Thomas, Charlie Uprichard, Josh Crawford.
